Dutch architecture firm DUS Architects is no exception to the sweeping innovations in the 3-D printing world. Its 3-D-printed canal house was visited by U.S. President Barack Obama in 2014, as well as by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan and Rijksmuseum director Wim Pijbes. The 3-D-printed canal house, the world’s first 3-D printed house, is a landmark in history.

The firm recently built an entire 3-D-printed cabin, which is located in a previously industrial area that overlooks one of Amsterdam’s many canals. The Urban Cabin is 3-D-printed out of bioplastics. It resembles a mini house with an 8-square-meter space that features a mini front porch, a small indoor living space where a bed can be fit and turned into a sofa, and a 3-D-printed bathtub located in the garden.
