A bar stool version of the Carbon Fiber Chair, by Moooi designer and co-founder Marcel Wanders and Bertjan Pot, was launched in Milan in 2015.

Originally launched in 2004, Marcel Wanders explains the design of the Carbon Fiber Chair as “super light and super strong.”
Produced in Asia, the product combines the influence of local craft with hi-tech carbon production.
The wires are coated in epoxy resin, then hand-woven around a mould.
They’re left to set into a rigid structure which lets light through, giving it a transparent look. The legs are made of the same material and attached in such a way that allows the chair to be stacked and shipped more economically and ecologically.
The bar stool version consists of a smaller, differently shaped seat and longer legs to accommodate the way people sit differently.
