Here’s more on the Honey workspace furniture exhibited at the international office furniture fair in Chicago, NeoCon.

October 4-6—Chicago maintained its international office furniture fair NeoCon this year as opposed to last year’s cancelation. The COVID era has altered many aspects of life but it has greatly impacted the office. CEOs have had to reevaluate the use of office spaces, while designers have been working on new solutions for furniture and interior layouts.

Here’s more on the Honey workspace furniture showcased during the fair. Originally released in October 2020, virtually, the company presented it in person at the event.

Best of Competition 2021: Honey by DARRAN Furniture

The biophilic workspace furniture design Honey by DARRAN Furniture won the Best of Competition 2021 for best overall product out of over 300 products entered. The product competed in the category of furniture systems and enhancements, winning gold. Christopher Wright and Mark Müller designed Honey workspace furniture to address the needs of individual users, their varied work styles, privacy and well-being.

Honey workspace furniture addresses the needs of individual users, their varied work styles, privacy, and well-being. The space-efficient 120° planning grid creates endless possibilities for configuring the workspace, creating distance between workers while also increasing the overall number of seats compared to standard benching products. Honey panels are soft and rounded with compound curved surfaces. The panel height of 55” gives the right amount of visual and sound privacy without overwhelming the space.

Elevated panels improve air quality and allow for proper heat dissipation. Honey offers open and closed collaborative zones, meeting spaces, lounge or desking in sitting, standing or height-adjustable adapting to the way the user works.

Fully integrated height-adjustable desks are available, as well as Honey tables, lounge seating, dividers and storage. Honey’s height-adjustable work surfaces have a built-in 1” gap at the back to allow easy access to power without the need of a grommet. Its fixed-height work surfaces use a convenient grommet to allow wires easy access to power.

Power Features include:

  • UL Listed
  • Integrated into Honey panels
  • Jumper cables up to 204”
  • 8 Wires, 4 circuits, 20 Amps each
  • Duplex receptacles, telecom plate standard in white with the option of black.
