Just beyond Milan in the Italian Dolomite Mountains, tucked away in the village of San Cassiano in Alta Badia, is the new Penthouse by the architectural studio Vudafieri-Saverino Partners. The 160 m² penthouse is situated on the 4th floor of the five-star Rosa Alpina Hotel & Spa.
The partnership between the studio and the hotel began in 2008 when Vudafieri-Saverino designed 10 suites for the Rosa Alpina, built completely out of wood and low environmental impact material.
Continuing their efforts to fuse comfort with the Alta Badia mountain atmosphere, the new penthouse is made up of three suites, a large lounge with a fireplace, bar, kitchen area and glass panel windows that allow the exterior to become part of the interior. In keeping with the level of luxury, the penthouse also includes a special touch: a wellness area that peers out over the mountain landscape, allowing a direct physical connection to the environment.
Furniture pieces include designs by Tom Dixon, Edra, Fornasetti, Gubi, Fritz Hansen, Driade and other notable names that add touches of color to the natural atmosphere.
