This extraordinary audio system breaks the barriers of time, drawing inspiration from the serene and captivating colors of the Nordic sunrise. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the Beosystem 72-23 seamlessly merges vintage vinyl experiences with cutting-edge streaming technology, offering a bridge between the nostalgic charm of 1972 and the innovative possibilities of 2023. Crafted exclusively in limited quantities, this audio masterpiece is a testament to exceptional artistry and precision.

Mads Kogsgaard Hansen, the Head of Product Circular Economy at Bang & Olufsen, explains the vision behind the Beosystem 72-23:

As part of our Recreated Classics initiative, this limited edition release represents our commitment to designing audio products that stand the test of time. It showcases the seamless integration of expert craftsmanship, timeless luxury, and enduring connectivity.”

At the core of the system, there is still the Beogram 4000c turntable, recreated in a unique triple copper tone aluminum finish in the tone of honey, ginger and amber. The aluminum finish is combined with a crafted solid Birch wood panel reflecting a light, clean and minimalistic Nordic touch. The turntable is accompanied by a modern pair of Beolab 28 speakers customized in matching Ginger Tone and Birch Wood finish to deliver a refined stereo sound experience.

Embracing the warm and captivating light of the Nordic sunrise, the Beosystem 72-23 showcases exquisite finishes in Honey, Ginger, and Amber aluminum. These refined tones harmonize elegantly with meticulously crafted birchwood panels, which form the core of the system, housing the iconic Beogram 4000c turntable. The turntable itself is a work of art, recreated by hand and introduced for the first time in the enchanting Nordic Dawn color scheme. Its aesthetic evokes a sense of tranquility reminiscent of peaceful Scandinavian mornings in expansive meadows.

When Jacob Jensen designed the Beogram 4000 Series turntable in 1972, he was looking to the future of audio design. His aim was to completely rethink the turntable to achieve a better-performing product that would stand the test of time. ‘No one should care about how bridges are built – the point is to find out how to get to the other side in the best possible way,’ he explained. This radical spirit has always been at the core of Bang & Olufsen’s DNA – as has its commitment to longevity; the original Beogram 4002 was future-proofed by designing space into the product architecture for future technological upgrades that hadn’t even been invented yet.
