Italian furniture brand Ex.t showcased a new piece from the Beam collection, designed to blend functionality with modern aesthetics, at Maison&Objet 2024.

Ex.t, known for its forward-thinking approach to bathroom design, once again captivated audiences at Maison&Objet, the renowned furniture and design fair held in Paris. This year, the 30th edition of the event, themed “tech eden,” provided the perfect backdrop for Ex.t to introduce its latest creation: a new addition to the Beam collection, designed by the esteemed Sans Nom studio.

The Beam collection, inspired by the geometrical strict timber structure used in buildings, offers a refined interpretation of functionality within limited spaces. At the heart of the collection lies a compact yet generously proportioned bathtub, resting upon a geometrically strict base that contrasts with the soft lines of the white tub’s body made from LivingTec®.

LivingTec Sink Features a Marble Side Shelf and Wooden Column

Adding to the versatility and practicality of the collection, Ex.t unveiled a new LivingTec sink featuring a side shelf crafted from travertine marble and a wooden column storage unit. This addition provides a seamless solution for organizing bathroom essentials while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic.

The strategic design of the Beam collection reflects a commitment to meeting practical needs without compromising on style. The incorporation of high-quality materials such as marble and wood, along with carefully selected finishes, ensures that each piece not only serves its purpose but also enhances the overall ambiance of the bathroom space.

The collaboration between Ex.t and Sans Nom extends beyond product design, with the studio also contributing to the restyling of Ex.t’s via Tortona showroom. This initiative celebrates the brand’s collections that have become synonymous with sophistication and innovation over the years.

In keeping with its tradition of excellence, Ex.t emphasizes the importance of local production, with all products crafted in Tuscany. Each piece undergoes a meticulous process, involving skilled artisans who are dedicated to delivering superior quality and attention to detail.

Speaking about the company’s ethos, Ex.t’s representatives, Ingrid and Azzurra, underscored their commitment to promoting a new concept of the bathroom that reflects contemporary living. They emphasized the brand’s ongoing dedication to innovation, craftsmanship, and style.

As Maison&Objet continues to serve as a platform for cutting-edge trends in the furniture and design sector, Ex.t’s latest unveiling reinforces its position as a leader in creating functional yet stylish solutions for modern living spaces. With the Beam collection, the company continues to push boundaries and redefine the possibilities of bathroom design.

Origami Collection: Reminiscent of Paper Sculptures

The Origami Collection, another new release, is a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation and contemporary aesthetics. Inspired by the delicate art of Origami, the collection infuses the bathroom space with clean lines, chiaroscuro contrasts, and a sense of fluidity reminiscent of paper sculptures. The washbasin takes center stage in this collection, featuring clean and defined lines that draw inspiration from the precision and minimalism of Japanese design principles.

Crafted from LivingTec, the washbasin is available in both square and rectangular shapes, offering versatility in countertop and pedestal installations. Complementing the washbasin is a sculptural support column, designed to accentuate the collection’s architectural presence. The cabinet, available in single or double configurations, combines rigid forms with glossy finishes, creating a visual interplay of full and empty volumes.

The collection’s handles, reminiscent of folds in paper, are crafted from brushed brass or brushed nickel, adding a touch of luxury and sophistication. Accessories in brushed metal provide a striking contrast to the glossy lacquers of the furniture pieces, while softer color options such as clay grey offer a serene and contemporary palette for the double-washbasin version. With the Origami Collection, Ex.t continues to reimagine the bathroom as a space of elegance, innovation, and timeless design.
