The World Architecture Festival 2024, held alongside its sister program Inside World Festival of Interiors, promises to be a landmark event. Taking place in Singapore, this vibrant festival will be a hub for architects, designers, and industry leaders to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the future of design. In addition to the unique live-judged awards program and crit presentations, this year’s event will include fringe events, an exhibition, and keynote talks from an international panel of speakers.
The 2024 festival theme: ‘Tomorrow’
How will architecture, urban design, landscape, and interiors be affected by the trends we see around us regarding population movement, city growth, digital technology, AI, immersive environments, and cultural change? These and associated issues will be the subject of WAF 2024’s thematic conference program, which takes place on the main stage from 6 to 8 November 2024, at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
International speakers will be invited to reflect on the changes they see coming, and how this is being reflected in their work and thinking. The theme is inspired by the description of the architecture critic Reyner Banham, as a ‘historian of the immediate future’; we hope to shed light on what we may only dimly see.
