New and bold product launches take centre stage at HIX, pushing the boundaries of form and functionality. Several announcements for 2026 product releases!
November 26-27, London – The next generation of hotel furnishing designs was on show at the Hotel Interiors Experience(HIX) in London this week. With more than 150 leading design labels exhibiting, there was everything on display from a suave washbasin made using CO2-neutral ceramic production to life-like 3D holographic fireplaces.
Here are a few of the highlights of the show.
Versatile Lighting Solution
Leading the way was Astro Lighting’s pendant light collection, exclusive to HIX. The collection, which comprises the flow, Camden and duo pendants, combines the brand’s architectural precision with softer, more decorative forms designed to complement a variety of hospitality and residential spaces.
Also on show was Astro Lighting’s Coastal and Guestroom collection of wall and ceiling and bedside lights. Added to that, was its comprehensive bathroom lighting range, available in new finishes and materials balancing form, function and durability.
“HIX has always been an important platform for Astro,” said Alice Bagnall, head of brand at Astro Lighting, in an interview with ArchiExpo e-Magazine. “As both a founding and now welcome partner, we’re proud to continue supporting an event that brings the global hospitality design community together here in the UK. This year, we’re excited to present our most complete lighting offering to date with expanded collections that celebrate the art of simplicity, design and longevity.”

The World’s First CO2-free E-Kiln for Sanitary Ceramics
Another product that’s pushing the boundaries of style is Laufen’s Volta basin, a new design concept by Yves Behar, founder and CEO of Fuseproject which will be officially launched in 2026. Created from Laufen’s pioneering SaphirKeramik, a revolutionary ceramic material which uses corundum – a component of sapphires – to strengthen ultra-thin materials, the product’s sculptural form, with two distinct levels, captures the swirling rhythm of water, evoking motion and purity while promoting self-cleaning and efficiency.
Made in Laufen’s e-kiln in Austria, Volta combines strength, sustainability and sculptural elegance to show how design can respond to an ever-changing world. The sink’s large hidden outlet also reduces the siphon’s size, making it more aesthetically pleasing.
“Inspired by the first CO2 free production in the world, Yves’ approach was very fresh and resulted in an unconventional new concept for the bathroom,” said Marc Viardot, marketing and design director of Roca Group, in an interview with ArchiExpo e-Magazine. “It feels a bit like we reinvented the wheel – at least the way we relate to the daily use of water.”

Stainless Steel Shower Enclosures
Continuing the sleek and sophisticated bathroom theme, Roman’s Stainless Steel Shower Enclosures, launching in summer 2026, offer exceptional durability and long-term value due to their rust-resistant, high-grade construction that performs flawlessly in wet, humid environments – making them ideal for hotels and spas. They are easy to clean and highly hygienic, with their stainless steel resisting scratches, corrosion and wear, thus ensuring a low-maintenance, premium finish that lasts for many years.
The enclosures also have a high tensile strength as they have slim, elegant profiles, allowing for a sleek modern look without compromising stability, durability or ease of installation. Thanks to physical vapor deposition-coated stainless steel, the profiles, hinges and handles all perfectly match in colour, giving a seamless, high-end finish. They can also be fully customized to fit any bathroom layout or size, offering both style and flexibility for a truly bespoke solution.
“Our Stainless Steel Shower Enclosures redefine what hotels can expect from premium bathroom design,” said David Osborne, CEO of Roman, in an interview with ArchiExpo e-Magazine. “This range delivers exceptional performance in the most demanding hospitality environments while offering the sleek, modern aesthetic designers expect. It reflects Roman’s commitment to engineering excellence and long term value for our customers.”

Next-Generation Holographic Fireplace
Realism is at the heart of Kalfire’s E-one Prestige next-generation holographic fireplace, which will be released in 2026. Blending sophisticated technology with premium design, the digital fireplace is designed specifically for the luxury hospitality and leisure segments, offering the beauty and emotion of real fire.
Its patented holographic flame technology projects an ultra-realistic, three-dimensional and customisable fire image onto in-house made logs, creating visual depth, authentic movement and a truly immersive experience. Crafted in Europe and built for demanding interiors, the E-one Prestige, which is both fully electric and emission-free, and controlled via the Kalfire Connected App, suits spaces where design meets functionality.
“In the world of luxury hospitality, design elements must do more than look beautiful — they must create atmosphere, connection and memory,” said Beijko van Melick, head of product and general manager at Kalfire, in an interview with ArchiExpo e-Magazine. “The E-one Prestige is more than a fireplace — it becomes the natural focal point of a room: where guests gather, relax and remember. With our holographic flame, we’ve re-imagined fire for the 21st-century luxury interior.”
