Nestled within the heart of Studio Gaïa lies a creative haven, where values of friendship, family, and dedication intertwine to give life to ceramic masterpieces that embody a timeless narrative of passion and purpose.

In the heart of Paris, Studio Gaïa emerges as a sanctuary of creativity, fueled by friendship, family, and unwavering dedication. This atelier, nestled within the city’s artistic tapestry, is more than just a workshop; it’s a testament to the fusion of passion and purpose that founders Déborah Elfassy and Liza Djian bring to life each day. Leaving behind their respective professional paths, these visionary entrepreneurs have embarked on a journey that not only sustains them but is, in many ways, a lifeline.

Studio Gaïa’s inception in March 2021 marked the birth of a brand steeped in warmth and solidity, mirroring the values that the founders hold dear. Their first collection of ceramic tiles epitomizes this ethos, with its bold, robust lines exuding a sense of security and assurance. Crafted meticulously in-house, these tiles marry artisanal craftsmanship with a touch of avant-garde design, drawing inspiration from their artistic peers.

Yet, Studio Gaïa is far from resting on its laurels. The latest addition to their repertoire, the STONES collection, introduces the allure of onyx and marble. Noble and steadfast, these materials lend a gentler, more rounded aesthetic to Studio Gaïa’s portfolio, reflecting a maturation akin to welcoming a second child into the family. It’s a vibrant family, dappled with colors ranging from the vivid to the gentle, always celebrating nature’s bounty by selecting materials that emanate from the earth.

Central to this collection is the exquisite onyx, a stone of almost magical allure, formed entirely by nature. Its near-translucent appearance and unique properties allow light to dance through its surface, revealing an ever-changing palette of colors and patterns that are simply mesmerizing. The subtle dance of manganese, iron oxide, copper, and aluminum within onyx results in a vibrant symphony of hues. Studio Gaïa’s hope is that these creations will take on lives of their own, harmonizing seamlessly with diverse environments, captivating those who encounter them.

Studio Gaïa’s commitment extends beyond tiles to functional artistry. From tissue boxes to decorative objects like Herakles and vases, their creations bring a touch of refinement to everyday life. The Rosa table, a pure and noble bedside companion, is offered in various onyx and marble hues, epitomizing simplicity and elegance.

In March 2021, Studio Gaïa ventured into custom-made ceramic furniture. Collaborating with a French carpenter for the wooden foundations, crafted from water-resistant wood, ensuring durability, and an Italian ceramic house with a legacy dating back to 1960, Studio Gaïa’s ceramic furniture is designed to stand the test of time. The installation process takes place in their Parisian studio, an essential part of ensuring every piece is crafted with the utmost care.

Studio Gaïa’s journey is not just about ceramics; it’s a celebration of values, heritage, and the enduring power of creativity. With their unique blend of artistic passion and entrepreneurial spirit, Déborah Elfassy and Liza Mimouni have created more than an atelier; they’ve given life to a living, breathing testament to the beauty of their craft.
