Schiavello’s 2024 report emphasizes adaptable, tech-driven, and sustainable office designs to meet modern workplace needs.

Schiavello, an Australian leader in workplace design, is at the forefront of key trends reshaping modern offices as businesses continue to adapt to the post-pandemic landscape. In their 2024 Trends Report, Schiavello emphasizes the growing demand for purposeful and adaptable spaces. With open-plan offices facing challenges related to noise and distraction, companies are seeking flexible, multi-functional environments that accommodate various work styles while maintaining a focus on sustainability.

Technology integration is another major focus, as smart systems are increasingly being woven into the fabric of office design. Schiavello’s NEXUS platform, for instance, merges workplace management with data-driven insights to help organizations optimize their spaces efficiently. This trend reflects a broader movement toward smarter, more fluid office environments, where technology plays a critical role in improving workflow and employee experience.

Schiavello also highlights a shift towards natural materials and sustainable design. The introduction of their ColourLab Volume 4 palette demonstrates a push for calming, nature-inspired aesthetics, which promote well-being and collaboration. At the same time, the company’s commitment to environmental impact is evident in its use of eco-friendly materials and innovative, durable designs, such as its modular Focus Quiet Rooms, which can be relocated without demolition, minimizing waste and contributing to a greener workplace.

During NeoCon last June, Schiavello showcased a series of new products that reflect the evolving needs of modern workplaces.

Focus Quiet Room – Gen 2: A Flexible Sanctuary

Schiavello’s Focus Quiet Room Gen 2 is the next evolution in adaptable office spaces. This updated version offers enhanced technology integration, including motion-sensor services and customizable lighting systems, all aimed at improving user comfort. One of the most innovative features is the flexible door system, which allows for both internal and external swinging doors and inter-room connections.

These rooms can serve as retreat spaces for focused work or private, secure areas for sensitive conversations. Thanks to the integration with Schiavello’s Nura Space platform, rooms can be booked in advance, with services automatically set before the user arrives.

Lineare Workstation System: Sleek and Functional

The Lineare Workstation System sets a new standard for minimalist office design. Featuring a thinner frame and a first-to-market desk leg actuator with an in-line motor, Lineare achieves a sleek look without sacrificing functionality. The soft edges of the worktop create a welcoming, residential feel while fostering collaboration.

This system is available in a variety of configurations, including meeting room tables and executive desks, all of which blend effortlessly with modern office aesthetics.

Quila Table: Lightweight and Versatile

Designed to complement the Rib seating collection, the Quila Table is a light, versatile addition to any workspace. Its understated design, featuring solid American Oak leg frames and tabletops available in a range of finishes, supports diverse activities. Quila is available in multiple sizes, making it suitable for use as a meeting table, a café-style surface, or even a freestanding desk.

NEXUS: A Seamless Integration of Tech and Space

Schiavello’s NEXUS range introduces advanced workplace technology solutions, integrating seamlessly into furniture such as workstations, lockers, and meeting rooms. Developed in partnership with their in-house technology division, Nura Space, NEXUS leverages data and behavioral insights to optimize office spaces. This holistic approach allows businesses to manage physical and technological needs through a single, vertically integrated platform.

Wire Chair: Simplicity Meets Functionality

Designed by Chris Connell, the Wire Chair embodies simplicity and practicality. Its lightweight and slimline design makes it a versatile choice for communal spaces, and it can be paired with an optional seat pad for added comfort. This chair is ideal for offices that want to introduce an outdoor aesthetic into their interior spaces.

Schiavello’s 2024 collection demonstrates its commitment to innovation, creating flexible, tech-enabled, and environmentally conscious solutions for the modern workplace. These new products, along with their classic commitment to quality, position Schiavello at the cutting edge of workplace design.
