[LIVE] iSaloni—Sea Bound with GANDIABLASCO and Designer Borja Garcia

Spanish design brand GANDIABLASCO travelled the Mediterranean coast to conceive the beautiful journey entitled An Odyssey – Back to the islands – Chapter 1. The story marks the return to the brand’s origins, the Mediterranean, and their passion for outdoor life. It takes the reader back to ancient Greek times, to the Trojan War. Ulysses spent ten years overcoming obstacles, escaping countless traps, exposing traitors, outwitting enemies, confronting monsters and hoodwinking Cyclops, triumphing battle after battle, with only one final objective in mind: return home to his beloved Ithaca.

Through the tale told, GANDIABLASCO introduces its nine-day journey where they toured the island Formentera, made a quick stop to Ibeza and finished at Casa de Sert in Formentera. The brand focused on developing a new outdoor furniture collection as part of this expedition. Designers Romero Vallejo, Borja García, Mariana Lerma and architects Neri&Hu worked up some nice pieces they presented at the brand’s stand during iSaloni 2015. During An Odyssey, the outdoor furniture collection sits against a canvas of Mediterranean glory.

The trip undertook the task of setting the products in real-life scenarios. Once the trip came to an end, the group’s next step was iSaloni. During the fair, ArchiExpo was offered a moment with Spanish designer Borja Garcia. He describes his collection called STACK as being inspired by the nautical world, having clean and lightweight structures portraying an array of blue. The products are made with self-supporting fabric over the extruded aluminum frame. Watch the video to get the designers detailed presentation of the latest additions to STACK.
