Maison&Objet: NOW! DESIGN À VIVRE

NOW! DESIGN À VIVRE at Maison&Objet offered design enthusiasts and professionals the opportunity to learn and discuss a range of topics, such as interior design and upcoming color trends. The speakers introduced the color scheme and select materials for 2019, which we later saw expressed at the stand of Scandinavian company Bolia. Velvet, according to Fashion Snoops and Trendscope, has returned with a renewed sense: seasonless.

Last year’s House of Games exhibition was followed by The Comfort Zone by François Bernard, director of trends agency Croisements. Rather appropriate, since Fashion Snoops and Trendscope representatives defined one of the major trends as a need and desire for comfort.

During the conferences, we also heard from French designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and discovered more on the design relationship between Europe and China.

A consistent haven for design, NOW! DESIGN À VIVRE also housed a number of must-experience exhibitions, including Space EN TEA, a collaboration between EN TEA, teamLab and M&O. Inside a calm, dark space, servers invited guests to sit and taste EN TEA, a new tea grown in Hizen, Japan. teamLab developed a light installation that reacted with the teacup. As guests placed their chilled teacups onto the table, flowers bloomed. Petals flowed from within the teacup and circulated on the table top. Guests breathed in the soothing atmosphere of soft music and delightful flowers, all while sipping the rich green tea.
