Ambiente brought light to several new product launches in kitchenware and cookware, providing insights into the evolution of kitchen trends.
February 7–11 – The annual Ambiente 2025 trade fair has concluded, offering a glimpse into the future of the areas of dining, living, giving, and working. We toured the kitchenware and cookware sections of the fair, looking for innovation and inspiration. Indeed, exhibitors displayed innovative cookware, multifunctional appliances, and sustainability-driven tableware in the Cook & Cut section. Convenience and efficiency are at the forefront of kitchen trends, with air fryers evolving into versatile all-in-one cooking units and cookware embracing bold colors and eco-conscious materials.
Tiny Living: Multifunctional Cooking Units
Air fryers emerged as one of the standout trends, particularly in the European market, where their popularity is rising. Manufacturers are enhancing these appliances with steam and oven functions, making them indispensable in small kitchens and for those embracing the Tiny Living movement.
GreenPan, a Belgian company known for its Omni Cooker, is launching a new range of air fryers in various shades of green, emphasizing design and functionality. GreenPan’s new Air Fryers in all shades of green will be released over this year. The company will also release the Elite Air Fryer Dual Zone, a hybrid air fryer and oven set to enter the market later this year.
German manufacturer Caso Design introduced the AirFry DuoChef, which features a dual air fryer and oven function and boasts a 70% reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional ovens. The product is set to ship immediately after Ambiente 2025 and will be available for €180 with a 14-liter capacity.

Meanwhile, Gourmia from the United States presented its latest innovation, the Panorama Digital Air Fryer, equipped with a panoramic viewing window and a holographic display showing temperature, cooking prompts, and time settings.
“We developed a new Panorama Digital Air Fryer that features a unique top-to-bottom panoramic viewing window allowing users to monitor their food cooking from all angles. An internal hologram display displays time, temperature, and guided cooking prompts,” said Thomas Menneking, Sales Leader Europe.
Gourmia is also preparing to launch Versia, an all-in-one air fryer, grill, panini maker, and multicooker, set for release in September.

Mobile Appliances: Portable Pizza Ovens
As home cooking grows more sophisticated, compact and mobile appliances are gaining traction. One of the highlights in this category was the introduction of portable pizza ovens, with ZiiPa from France unveiling the Piana Sedici, scheduled for release in April 2025.
The appliance features a rotating fireproof stone that allows users to bake a pizza in under a minute. The oven, which can reach 450°C in minutes, runs on gas or pellets and delivers restaurant-quality results.
As one of the few established manufacturers of mobile pizza, ZiiPa’s 13 kg ovens have foldable feet and can be easily stowed. ZiiPa thus continues the trend of the mobile kitchen, which does not compromise flavor or quality.

Cookware Trends: Bold Colors and Sustainability
Cookware manufacturers are embracing vibrant colors and sustainable materials in their new product lines. Natural tones such as beige, green, and earthy shades dominate collections, while gold-accented handles add an element of luxury. Italian brands Tognana and Marcato have both introduced cookware series featuring golden handles on black and silver miniature pots, designed for stylish serving.
Tognana, known for its successful Tex Mex series made of stainless steel, has relaunched a four-part black mini pot series with golden handles for Ambiente 2025. Similar miniature cookware for serving can also be found at Marcato: with Le Mini, the manufacturer combines silver aluminum pots and pans with golden handles.

Combekk, a Dutch company known for its sustainable cookware, unveiled Nanoforce, a new non-stick enamel surface for cast iron cookware, eliminating the need for chemical coatings.
“Most people find it hard to cook with conventional cast iron products as they stick,” commented an employee at the Combekk booth.
Meanwhile, Cookut of France is launching the Wonderfull Collection in the summer of 2025, a nickel-free stainless steel cookware series available in vibrant hues such as Graphite, Marshmallow, and Blueberry.
JOMAFE, a Portuguese brand celebrating its 50th anniversary, is taking sustainability to the next level with its new recycled aluminum casserole, crafted from 51 repurposed beverage cans.
“Each casserole contains 51 recycled drinking cans,” explained Alex Pinheiro from JOMAFE.
Tableware Innovations: Digital Printing and Clay Recycling
Tableware is also evolving, with digital printing techniques gaining popularity, particularly among Portuguese manufacturers. Val do Sol, for example, has introduced collections such as Peachy Petals, Morning Blush, and Tangerine Dreams, featuring intricate glaze patterns created with sustainable clay cycles and digital printing technology. According to the ceramicware company, digital designs are printed right into the glaze.
The company has also released its Greenish collection made from clay recycling. The team channels the heat from the firing process into the driers to create a reuse cycle of gas energy consumed by the kilns. Scrap clay is reintegrated into virgin clay mixes rather than thrown into the trash, while gray water is used in raw materials like clay and glaze.
Ambiente 2025 highlighted a future where functionality, sustainability, and design merge seamlessly, shaping the modern kitchen experience.
