Coffee Set Combines Metal & Wood

Coffee Set Combines Metal & Wood

When designers Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri met Stelton during the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, they had a few discussions and shared some ideas. One such was a very early version of the Collar coffee set. Stelton asked them to implement the design into another few items and that’s where it all began.

ArchiExpo e-Magazine speaks to the designers:

Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri: Metal was the obvious choice for everything that had to be placed on a stovetop and had to be manufactured in series. The solid wood handles make the pots easy to handle and prevent overheating. The cylindrical body is made of Teflon coated stainless steel.

The grinder’s brass top can be fixed onto the top of the container through a thread. The very same thread on the container is used to fix the lid when used as a container. The cylindrical pot body, on the other hand, features a small protrusion on the side which serves as a fixation point for the wooden handle.

All products in the line are manufactured by sub-suppliers for Stelton under the supervision of engineers and quality control staff. All products are being followed from toolmaking to final production to achieve the highest quality. Sup-suppliers purchase all materials under specifications from Stelton. Each piece is industrially produced.
