Microsoft Office Meets Home in Milan

Microsoft Office Meets Home in Milan

The office becomes home away from home at Microsoft’s new headquarters in Milan, which opened in February 2017. Showroom specialist Alessandro Simonetti took ArchiExpo e-Magazine for a tour and explained that “Microsoft House is the first office building in Milan to feature open-plan workspaces.”

“It optimizes space and encourages co-working productivity in a casual, comfortable environment.”

All design and furniture elements of the unique office space are made in Italy. Three of the six floors of the sleek glass building are open to the public and provide a space where neighborhood residents, customers, and students can interact with the concept. The ground floor features an event space for happenings like Icon Design Talks during Design Week 2017 and a tech center where computers are available for everyone’s use.

Microsoft House’s mission is to provide “a new place to innovate, collaborate and generate ideas,” says Carlo Purassanta, CEO of Microsoft Italy.
