Beckmans College of Design presented their “New Way Out” exhibition, sponsored by IKEA, during Stockholm Furniture Fair February 9-13, 2016. It featured outdoor furniture for urban areas made by third year students, including Märta Hägglund’s stainless steel and expanded metal loveseat.
Sanna Gripner designed the Hölja chair, a rather promising product. Hölja has a collapsible back that can be folded. The chair is covered with an outdoor fabric in spun-dyed acrylique from Sunbrella and has a frame with steel legs.
Designer Aron Lidström takes the idea of legs up a notch. His Rullo has two different sets of legs, changing the dimensions of the rolling tray table. This project was completed in cooperation with architect Ulrika Ohlgren, Familj & Vänner and others.
